China Approved Destination Status (ADS)

The Approved Destination Status scheme allows Chinese tourists to travel to Australia in guided groups. The objectives of the scheme are to restore integrity, competition and fair trading to the Chinese inbound group market and to empower Chinese tourists with knowledge and choice so they can exercise their consumer power in the market.

ADS approved inbound tour operators (ITOs) are responsible for ensuring ADS tourists receive a quality tourism experience. ADS ITOs are required to abide by the ADS Code of Business Standards and Ethics which sets out the minimum quality standards and requirements for ADS tours.

Parks Victoria

Parks Victoria is a statutory authority reporting to the Minister, responsible for managing a diverse estate covering more than 4 million hectares, or about 17 %, of Victoria.

Parks Victoria's primary responsibility is to ensure parks are healthy and resilient for current and future generations, managing parks in the context of their surrounding landscape and in partnership with Traditional Owners. Parks Victoria works in partnership with other government and non-government organisations and community groups. Healthy Parks Healthy People is at the core of what Parks does, and nature are important in improving and maintaining health, both for individuals and the community.

Professional Tour Guide Association of Australia (PTGAA)

The Professional Tour Guide Association of Australia was established in 1991 to represent Australian tour guides and tour managers. The PTGAA provides the tourism and incentives industry with profesionally trained, reliable and skilled tour guides and staff. Members are supported in developing and maintaining an ongoing high standard of expertise through professional career development, mentoring, training modules and networking opportunities.

Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC)

Victoria Tourism Industry Council is the peak body for Victoria’s tourism and events industry. In partnership with the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI), VTIC Membership provides solutions to everyday business challenges.
